We've been here 8 years and I never saw one in town before, though I'd heard people mentioning them. But last spring there were several litters of kits in town and now we're seeing them regularly. Most that I see are red foxes, but this one looked grayish.

oh, red ones? wow, I've never seen a red one. ours are rather grey and boring to look at.

yes, they look like very doglike, just with bushier tails. not very impressive.
